Gypellets™ granulated gypsum
Finely ground granulated gypsum for application to horticultural crops, grazing pasture, amenity turf situations.
Pack size: Available in 1 Tonne slingbags
Gypellets™ comprises of finely ground, high purity gypsum using molasses as the binder. The granules size range from 2-6mm. The granules breakdown rapidly once they come into contact with moisture in the soil.
Finely ground gypsum dissolves more easily and will start to work in the soil more quickly when compared to an application of screened gypsum. The molasses is beneficial food source for soil biology.
Gypellets™ is a low dust, easy to spread option and can be applied using fertiliser spreading equipment, can be direct drilled at planting time or can be air seeded to aid in crop or pasture establishment.
It is an ideal option for blending with other granular fertilisers for application to a pasture, amenity turf, orchard or vineyard.
Gypsum can be applied during periods of active calcium and sulphur demand in early plant establishment, eg. potatoes and maize, and around flowering and fruit set, eg. avocados, apples, kiwifruit, stonefruit, peanuts. Gypsum can be applied regularly to replace sulphur and calcium removed when harvesting a crop.
Crop application Guidelines
An application of Gypellets™ granulated gypsum will be based on the level of calcium or sulphur required for an individual crop. Winstone recommends applications are based on recent soil tests as well as guidance from your local fertiliser advisor.
